5 Outfit Ideas to Spice Up Your Office Routine this Fall

I don't know about you, but when it comes to seasonal dressing, Fall is my favorite! It's the season that lets you pile on the knits, the leather, the trench coats, the suede, cool hats and all kinds of arrestive colors - without looking overdone. As someone who works in the corporate world, I love to incorporate all that Fall has to offer into my office looks. Here are 5 outfits you can try to play up your work style this Fall.
1. Red Pants with an Olive Green Shirt and Trench Jacket
I've said it before and I will say it again: the sky's the limit when it comes to color-blocking. Next time you want to go for a classic office look, try pairing your pieces in colorful, contrasting hues for a bold effect. Here I went for red pants and an olive green button down shirt topped with a coat because a layer makes a difference during this time of the year.
2. Burgundy Faux-Leather Skirt with a Green Blouse
Want to add an edgy touch to your Fall office style? Try leather. Or better yet, try faux leather. This material has become a Fall staple for all the good reasons, including the fact that it provides the perfect amount of insulation as temperatures make their way down. Here I paired a burgundy faux leather skirt with a kelly green blouse for a color-blocked effect. I also went for an extra polished allure with pointed toe pumps and a matching belt.
3. Red Pants with a Bright Yellow Blouse
What you see is what you get with this splashy yet office-perfect outfit.
4. Printed Pants with a Burgundy Turtleneck Sweater and Blazer
Okay, so everybody could use a reminder that fun prints are not just for Spring and Summer. Indeed, they are also perfect for Fall and we should not shy away from incorporating them into our office routine. I went for a fun square patterned pair of pants with a matching turtleneck sweater and blazer for a look that screams "I am fashionable, and I mean business too". And because it's boots season, I completed the look with my favorite brown low-heel Aquatalia boots.
5. Monochrome Burgundy Skirt and Jacket Outfit
When in doubt, go monochrome! It's that simple. Here I paired a burgundy faux leather skirt with a matching cropped jacket for a generous dose of wine. I also added my favorite lace-up heels of the moment for that nice transitional touch because letting go of Summer is no easy feat!
