When I'm not at work, I'm checking out coffee shops in the Twin Cities, meeting friends for dinner or brunch, or running the thousand errands I need to keep the household going. All of these call for outfits that are easy and practical. And for those of us who lean more modern classic with their style, weekend errands and brunch meetups still need a level of polish and modern chic. No need for a pair of dressy trousers for a coffee run, but a tailored pair of linen pants is sure to do the trick. Weekends and casual outings are the perfect occasions to let loose and add a little playful flair to your looks. Here is some outfit inspo for your Spring and Summer weekend activities:
Relaxed Linen on Linen
Linen is the material of the season. I just love how breathable and versatile it is! I have built a pretty sizeable collection of linen pieces to create breezy looks during the warm seasons. For this look, I reached for neutral beige wide-leg linen pants and a colorful green oversized linen shirt. I was going for something ultra comfy yet elevated so I accessorized with matching green sandals, a coordinated silk scarf that I wore at the waist, and a colorful blue handbag. The shirt and pants create that classic canvas, while the colorful accessories add intention and some playfulness to the look. This is one that I wore to brunch with friends and got so many compliments on! You can also wear this to coffee meetups, shopping trips, or even to Summer picnics. I went for this green shirt because I've been into it lately, but you could go for any color, really!

Denim With An Edge
Jeans will always reign supreme when it comes to weekend style! To step up your off-duty jeans game, go for a modern cut such as barrel jeans. Those instantly give you an edge plus they are pretty versatile. For this outfit, I paired my favorite barrel jeans with a longline white shirt. The feminine silhouette and billowy sleeves juxtaposed to the relaxed jeans create a balanced outfit that lands somewhere between edgy and classic β totally my cup of tea! To keep it ultra comfy for running around, I wore platform sandals. The leopard print on those and my yellow leather bag really add a chic and unique touch to the outfit.

Shorts, But Make It Bold
Shorts are a Spring/Summer wardrobe staple. White shorts tend to take the cake, but a pair of tailored printed shorts is equally as chic! I recently scored these linen-blend shorts and am so excited to style them this Spring and Summer! The cut is perfect, the print is fun (reminds me of FarmRio), they are tall-girl-friendly, and the material is very appropriate for hot days. For this outfit, I wore these printed shorts with a longline linen blazer in a bold fuchsia color. The color combo is vibrant and that's a good thing for Spring and Summer. To elevate the outfit, I wore off-white leather pointy toe pumps, a leather belt, and a matching small leather handbag. This is a posh look for a Sunday brunch and one you could wear to the beach if you swapped the pumps for sandals, and took off the blazer.Β

Sporty Neutral
Classic and neutral go hand-in-hand! When in doubt, a neutral look is always going to save the day. For an easy and elevated casual outfit, try cropped light jeans with a chocolate brown top and brown sneakers. Chocolate brown is a rich hue that oozes sophistication and earthyness, a winning combination. I opted for a chocolate brown longline waistcoat (can you tell I love a longline top?) with a matching sash belt for a tailored silhouette. I've worn this outfit to Saturday morning coffee dates, the kids' sporting events, and also to run errands.Β
