Styling a Cropped Trench Coat With a Jumpsuit For Spring and Summer
Share
A trench coat is a staple in any wardrobe. And though classic midi-length trench coats have dominated the outerwear landscape, their cropped counterparts have rapidly climbed to mainstream status. Cropped trench coats offer the same utilitarian vibe as classic trench coats, but in a much shorter length which makes them appropriate for the warmer Spring and Summer weather. Another benefit of a cropped trench is that it doesn't interfere with the rest of your look as much as a longer version would. Think bold printed pants that you would want to layer without too much obstruction. I have been into cropped trench coats and love styling them with just about everything in my wardrobe: dresses, wide-leg pants, skirts, and jeans.

For this outfit, I went for a wide-leg indigo denim jumpsuit with off-white pointy-toe pumps and an off-white cropped trench coat. I sized up in the jumpsuit from my typical Medium size to an Extra Large size for a baggy fit. I like that the more relaxed silhouette gives off an effortless vibe while the cropped trench adds a trendy and polished touch to the look. This is an elevated casual outfit perfect for running errands on the weekend and casual meetups. You could also wear it to Spring and Summer fashion events that have a more relaxed dress code.

Trench coats offer a versatile layering option for year-round style. A trench coat pairs well with just about anything in your wardrobe and it puts a trendy spin on this longstanding closet staple. I have been wearing my cropped trench coats a lot this Spring and will share more looks so stay tuned! What do you think of cropped trench coats? Chime in in the comments below!
