How I Style Printed Wide-Leg Pants
Share
It's no secret that I have a serious weakness for wide-leg pants. I find them easy to style and love their go-everywhere flowy silhouette. Wide-leg pants in solid neutral hues were my go-to until recently. I ordered a black and white printed pair of wide-leg pants and I must say, it's quite the statement piece! The print is a bold batik grid-like motif that stands out from the typical stripes or polka dots. I have enjoyed wearing this piece multiple ways and am realizing that prints are more versatile than we think. Here are some simple yet jazzy outfit ideas with printed wide-leg pants.
Printed Wide-Leg Pants with a Matching Shirt
Playing matchy-matchy is always a safe and fashionable move! This oversized shirt and wide-leg pants came as a matching set and my first outfit pass at these pieces was to simply wear them together. Pairing the top and bottom makes for a statement-making look that is bold without being over the top. The oversized shirt delivers good versatility in that it can be worn alone, or cinched with a wide belt for a more tailored silhouette. To disrupt the head-to-toe black and white print, I opted for gold metallic accessories. This gold leather handbag and those oversized gold earrings are my favorite to pair with black outfits. This is an elevated casual look that plays well with Summer street style.

Printed Wide-Leg Pants with a White Shirt
We all know that white shirts are a wardrobe staple and go with just about anything in our closets, be it jeans, dressy trousers, pleated skirts, and shorts. There's just no way to foil a look with a white shirt. For this look, I paired the printed wide-leg pants with a tunic-like white shirt. I like how the black embroidered pattern adds a unique flair to the shirt, and coordinates well with the black and white print of the pants. I was going for something sophisticated yet relaxed and I think these two pieces hit the mark. For accessories, I went with an oversized black leather tote to keep the look fluid, and wore my favorite gold earrings for a bit of contrast. This is a statement Summer office look that can also be worn off-hours.
Printed Wide-Leg Pants with a Blazer
One way to jazz up a black and white look is to throw in some color. A bright red blazer or a blue blazer could be great options however here I opted for an oversized purple blazer. Layering the blazer over a black vest created a classic vibe on top, which perfectly complemented the playful print of the pants. When styling, playing with color contrasts and style contrasts is always a good idea to achieve unique looks and show some personality. I finished this color-blocked look with a chunky metal necklace, my black Bvlgari Serpenti bag, and pointed black pumps.
