3 Trendy Yet Classic Ways to Style Denim For Spring 2025

Denim is having a moment right now! But really, denim is always having a moment because it's such a staple when it comes to building a wardrobe. One of the most appealing attributes of denim is that it is seasonless. Yes, denim can be worn in the fall, the winter, spring and summer seasons alike, without ever feeling like it's out of place. During the colder seasons, denim fashion is mostly about jeans. But when the weather warms up, denim takes on more silhouettes and textures, and becomes even more interesting to style. I'm a huge denim fan! In fact, I don't think you can have too much denim. Whether it's jeans, denim shirts, jackets, dresses, skirts, a denim piece is always a good investment, especially one that is in a more classic cut such as straight jeans or a simple button-down shirt. Now, it's good to incorporate some trendy items such as barrel jeans but be careful to not overdo those as they are, again, trends. I've been getting into my denim clothes lately, the classic ones and some trendier pieces, and here are some of the Spring outfits I've worn:
1. Khaki Pants with a Denim Shirt and Leather Jacket
It's a good thing those khaki pants cannot speak! They've been in my wardrobe for many years, and I have put them to work - unapogetically! At this point, their cost per wear is negligible and that's how it should be, right? Anyway, I recently wore them to work with a longline denim shirt and a neutral leather jacket. I was going for a business casual look with a cool edge. The pants' jogger silhouette paired with the denim make for a trendier spin on the traditional khaki slacks with a button-down shirt. I added a dressy moto leather jacket to elevate the look, and wore strappy pumps for a light yet sophisticated touch. This is an easy look to recreate and one that can be worn more casually if you swap the pumps for sneakers.

2. Baggy Jogger Jeans With a Graphic Sweater
I love my straight and wide-leg jeans but sometimes, I like to switch things up with these baggy jogger jeans. These joggers have been my substitute for the trendy barrel jeans. I love the curve effect of those but prefer the more tapered leg of a jogger silhouette. For this casual fit, I paired a graphic sweatshirt with my baggy jogger jeans and lugged loafers. I was going for a cool, urban look with a classic touch so I added a silk scarf as a neck accessory and reached for my statement yellow leather bag from Tomoli. I love the overall simple flair of the look, spiced up with a dose of color!

3. Denim On Denim Wide-Leg Jeans With a Longline Shirt
Perhaps the easiest and most fail-safe approach to denim is to wear it head to toe. I love a monochrome look, whether it's all black, or all white, or all denim. There's just something about matching top and bottom that makes for a simple look that also gives a put-together vibe. For this outfit, I went for effortless chic with blue wide-leg jeans and a blue button-down denim shirt. To give it a warm season touch, I wore a raffia belt with cork platform sandals. You could swap the belt and shoes with different colors or textures to give the look more or less contrast. And to wear this outfit during the cold seasons, simply add a coat and boots et voilà!

As you know, Spring outfit options are endless with denim. I will definitely be repeating these pieces as we get deeper into the Spring and Summer seasons so stay tuned! What are your favorite ways to wear denim during this time of the year? Leave a comment below!
