Skirt: White House Black Market | Shirt: J.Crew | Shoes: Marc Fisher LTD

I love how a good detail takes an outfit from blah to snazzy without the chichi. You know what I mean? Here I paired a pencil skirt with buttons and belt details with a button-down bodysuit (yes this is a bodysuit!)

Why I love the skirt? Because of the button detail of course, but also because of the perfect midi length, the belt (cuz you know I need a belt to keep things in place), and the beautiful burgundy color that I like to call the official Fall color πŸ‚πŸ oh, and it’s machine washable too!

About the shirt… I love a white button-down shirt. It’s a wardrobe staple. In fact I have at least 10 different white button-down shirts, each with their own little flavor: some are tunic-length, some are super fitted, some are soft, some are structured, and this one is a bodysuit with a round collar. The reason I picked it to go with the skirt is that when I do a tuck-in look, I like my shirt to stay tucked in. And bodysuits are perfect to achieve that all-day put together, always polished look.

How do you like it? Are you into bodysuits too or do you prefer the regular shirts? Let’s chat!
