Dusters are a must-have this season! They offer such a good range of style possibilities!!! I have seen them paired with sheath dresses, jeans, pants, shorts, etc. Here i went for a simple black pencil skirt from Macy’s INC, black tall boots from Cole Haan, a red sleeveless turtleneck sweater and matching duster from White House Black Market (WHBM). I find that the duster length adds some kind of a majectic look to any outfit! My tip for getting the most out of a duster is to pair it with a slim piece that won’t add any bulge to the outfit. My preferences are a stretch pull-on skirts like the one I have on, or just simply pull-on leggings.
I have more duster colors and more looks to share so stay tuned!
Staying consistent with the monochromatic trend everyone! I went for a staple Fall color – dark burgundy – ensemble and a Tan blazer. I basically paired ponte skinny pants and a seamless cami from White House Black Market (WHBM). I loooove these pants!!! They fit extremely well and just move with you!
I then topped the burgundy with a neutral -tone blazer from WHBM for a bit of contrast. And let me tell you… The compliments at work were endless!!! I have talked about the WHBM trophy jacket, but have to rave some more about it! The decorative buttons add a different and polished detail, the inside of the blazer is black so you get a nice contrast effect when you cuff the sleeves for a more casual look, the jacket is machine-washable (just like most of WHBM apparel) ! Now this last one is big on my list because dry cleaning can significantly increase the actual cost of a garment. I love that i can wear this blazer, and toss it in the machine as needed. Love it!!!

Colorblocked patterns are some of my favorite, especially when they combine black, some shade of white, and tan! Here i paired White House Black Market side zipper jeans with a Macys INC International Concepts sweater. If you haven’t gotten one of these yet, hurry to Macys and snatch one before they are all gone, because they will go fast!!! Perfect with jeans, come in this colorblock pattern, and other solid hues, soft, tunic length so perfect with skinny jeans and leggings.
Now the booties. From White House Black Market as well. So so comfortable, perfect heel height, love the wrap detail, and the color is such a nice neutral, it could be paired with just about anything!
Hope you like it! Check back to find out how i style the solid color sweaters!!!
When i first saw this ensemble at The Limited, I thought it was a dress. They had tucked in the top on the model, and added a belt to it. I saw the striped pattern, and started to hyperventilate, but then i thought about how dresses could be so complicated at times, and decided I would just pass on this one. And then, I figured the pieces were separate. I would have done the happy dance if I had been by myself at the store!!! In case you haven’t noticed, i am not the same size on top and bottom so separates tend to work better for me. Tried it on, checked out, and no remorse ever since. Casual enough to run errands on the weekend, versatile enough to just be topped with a blazer for a work outfit, top can be worn with jeans, skirt can be worm with a tee and a cardigan, and it goes on… Stay tuned to find out how I mix and match these pieces with other garments to create fab outfits!!!

This plaid ensemble from Ann Taylor is everything! I usually like to mix and match my patterns, but like i have said, this Fall season will be all about monochromatic looks. So i stayed true to the trend and matched 2 plaid pieces – a trumped skirt, and a mock neck sweater – to create a continous color flow. I absolutely love this pattern, because it is so different! Bold and subtle all in one! Bold because of the larger squares, and subtle because of the neutral gray and off-white hues. I couldn’t think of any better way to wrap it up than to add black tall boots. So Fall, i love it!!!
